I had a little dabble into mini quilting last week. I got my scraps of fabric out and my patch work templates and went to work. I used the English paper piecing method to put it all together. I was very pleased when I discovered the stars fitted perfectly in the diamond patches. I quilted it by hand with contrasting pearl cotton.
I am so please with how tidy the corners are. I thought I knew how to do the corners but after actually reading the tutorials realised I had been doing it wrong. I machined the binging on then finished it by hand and sewed a loop on the back so I could hang it on the wall.
Here it is on the wall bringing some colour to the hall way. I want to make another one at some point so I’ll be keeping my eye out for more designs.
